Is that you, Lord?

As sons and daughters of God, we are led by the Holy Spirit. This is a promise of Christ when he went to the Father. He guides us to our God-given destination. Don’t make a mistake waiting for one big revelation. Let him guide you on a daily basis. Believe it and make no room for doubts in your mind because doubt is fear based and will cloud your decisions.

When I heard a voice from my heart we sometimes call gut feelings and received an outward sign, I asked, Is that you, Lord? I asked myself what if this is not God’s will. I realized now I have little faith. The faith that I already have need to grow so I’ll have confidence that whatsoever I asked in prayer and believe in my heart, then it shall come to pass. I remember a time when I was desperate for God’s confirmation and God being so faithful sent me a message so huge that I didn’t miss it. It brought relief to my weary soul and washed away my fear, and made me smile realizing He is truly a good God.

Why do we doubt? God promised the Israelites a land with milk and honey. All they have to do was to possess the land from the inhabitants. This was easy for Joshua and Caleb who have strong faith. But the other 10 spies saw threats of giants. Their fear made them forget the miracles they witnessed just weeks ago. They should have the confidence that the people in the promised land are fearful of them because of news about the plagues in Egypt, and split of Red Sea brought by the God of Israelites. You see, God setup our success before we go to our destination. We should be thankful all the time because gratitude stamp out fear. In Deu 31:8 “It is the Lord who goes before you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

How do we know the prompting is from God? If the intentions and results are parallel to Gods promise then it is from God. Ruth was prompted to abandon her idol loving people and go with Naomi and later on married Boaz. That’s a God-given destination. On the other hand, if you are prompted to seduce a married man, then that is not Gods will.

Don’t be self-guided. Allow God to guide you one step at a time and you won’t get lost. Hallelujah!
